Graphic Design

Graphic Design is a form of visual communication. It is a process in which visual information is given form and structure. This is often done through the arrangement of typography and images and take any form from photography to 3D design. Graphic design can incorporate the use of illustration, iconography, and branding, but is not limited to these devices.

The principles of graphic design, in classic design theory, are traditionally related mainly to functionalism and formalism. But with recent developments in digital media and theories of information design, graphic designers have been more in tune with the problems of information and structure.Design principles and elements are the basic visual toolbox of design tactics in every design discipline. The elements (including space, shape, form, mass, line, texture, pattern, time, light, and color) compose the basic vocabulary of visual design.
