Graphic Design is a form of visual communication. It is a process in which visual information is given form and structure. This is often done through the arrangement of typography and images and take any form from photography to 3D design. Graphic design can incorporate the use of illustration, iconography, and branding, but is not limited to these devices.
The principles of graphic design, in classic design theory, are traditionally related mainly to functionalism and formalism. But with recent developments in digital media and theories of information design, graphic designers have been more in tune with the problems of information and structure.Design principles and elements are the basic visual toolbox of design tactics in every design discipline. The elements (including space, shape, form, mass, line, texture, pattern, time, light, and color) compose the basic vocabulary of visual design.

An audio codec is a computer program that compresses/decompresses digital audio data according to a given audio file format or streaming audio format. Most codecs are implemented as libraries which interface to one or more multimedia players, such as XMMS, Winamp or Windows Media Player.
In some contexts, the term "audio codec" can refer to a hardware implementation or sound card. When used in this manner, the phrase audio codec refers to the device encoding an analog audio signal to a digital audio signal, or decoding an analog audio signal from a digital audio signal. Thus, in such a context, the term is actually referring to a combined audio AD/DA converter. One example is Intel Corporation's AC'97 standard, which is comprised of a digital controller paired with an analog unit.

A collet is a sleeve with a cylindrical inside and a conical outside. The collet has kerf cuts along its length to allow it to expand and contract. A threaded section at the rear of the collet is used to pull it into a matching conical socket. As the collet is pulled into the socket, the collet will contract - gripping the contents of the inner cylinder. Collets are most commonly found on milling machines, lathes, wood routers, and precision grinders. Collets can also be obtained to fit Morse or Brown and Sharpe taper sockets.
Typically collets offer far higher levels of precision and accuracy than self-centering chucks, and have a far shorter setting up time than independent-jaw chucks. The penalty is that most collets can only accommodate a single size of workpiece. An exception is ER collets which typically have a working range of 1mm. Air cylinders or collet chucks are made to hold cylindrical work, but are available to hold square, hexagonal or octagonal work pieces.

The basic workholding accessory for a wood or metal turning lathe is faceplate. It is a circular metal plate which fixes to the end of the lathe spindle. The workpiece is then hold tightly to the faceplate using t-nuts in the faceplate slots. It may be attached to the lathe using thread and a precision cone arrangement. Camlock arrangement is commonly used where shaped studs and cams replace threaded studs for rapid exchganging of the faceplate with other accessories, such as three or four jaw chucks. The different types of workholdings are pneumatic workholding, vacuum workholding and hydraulic workholding.
The faceplate was the ancestor of lathe chuck, an arrangement of three or more adjustable 'dogs' bolted to the faceplate providing a primitive chuck arrangement. It may seem that the faceplate is a primitive accessory superseded by precision chucks, but its inherent flexibility and the possibility of achieving great accuracy by careful setting up mak it an essentail for the well equipped lathe.
For certain specialist jobs temporary or special faceplates can be made, perhaps in wood or light alloy that can be machined or adapted for difficult workholding jobs. One example might be attaching thin sheet metal to a wooden face plate using woodscrews, allowing the trepanning of holes, with the tool cutting into the sacrificial faceplate material.

The process of separating liquids through differences in their vapor pressures is called Distillation. In the oldest method, the concentration of alcohol by the application of heat we get the fermented liquid mixture. Now this method is energy-consuming used for the production of petroleum products in chemical industry and other fields. The chemical properties of the mixture are determined by the composition of vapor during liquid mixture evaporation.
Distillation is possible only when the component having higher vapor proportion than the mixture. With other components, the given component having a higher vapor pressure and a low boiling point.

Health Insurance
Insurance comes to play in the case Illness or death .Imagine your family and dependents without you and your income .Think of a case where-in your children without your income. They will suffer due to non-work related injuries which are devastating. Health Insurance can help protect against disastrous health care expenses and lost wages. If you have a job, your employer may make medical and disability income benefits available to you. You can also buy this coverage privately or through an insurance agent who is certified by the State to sell health insurance goods.
Types of Health Plans:
Medical Expenses Plans: Pay expenses incurred for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Full preference plans allow you to choose any doctor and hospital. You can also desire the amount of the "deductible" you must pay before the plan pays anything. After the deductible is met, a percentage of all your set cost is usually covered. The inequality between the percentages the plan pays and the amount charged is the "co-amount" that you must pay. The policy or employer benefit booklet resolve spell out the terms and conditions of what is enclosed and what in not covered. Read this contract BEFORE you need to use the plan and ask your agent or employer to give details anything which is unsure to you. Favorite Provider Organization (PPO) Plans allow you to choose a doctor or hospital from a list of "preferred" providers in order to receive filled benefits. If you go to a doctor who is not on the list, the plan may cover a smaller percentage or none of your costs. Check with the insurance carrier BEFORE you use the plan to make certain your physician or hospital is an astringent provider. Make certain your doctor refers you to other providers who are on the list, or who the carrier agrees to pay at the "preferred" rate. Individual Plans are a good alternative if you are not able to get coverage through your employer. A pre-existing condition, such as a past illness, must be covered after one year. it will decide on the basis of your health history if they will issue the coverage. Multiple Employer welfare Arrangements(MEWA) may be insured or partially-insured plans. They are classically marketed to self-employed individuals or small employers through membership in a trade or other association. The California Insurance Code now requires MEWA's to obtain a "Certificate of Compliance" and to set aside financial reserves to work. They must fulfill with the health care reforms efficient after July 1993. These plans can only be sold through a licensed life indemnity agent.

Iptelecoms, the UK distributors for Swyx and specialists in the distribution of IP telephony products, found they had a major success on their hands when exhibiting at the 2005 Convergence Summit held at Stoneley Park near Coventry on the 6th and 7th of August this year.
Steve Curtis, Managing Director of Iptelecoms Ltd said "The exhibition has been a major success story for us. This is the first time that we have exhibited at the Convergence Summit and we are delighted with the astounding interest shown in our product line-up." He also told us "Over the past few weeks we have seen a major upturn in business and the time is most definitely now for IP telephony and converged solutions. Resellers are realizing that this is the only route forward and the move to IP opens up many additional revenue streams to them."
On several occasions dealers were waiting in line for a live Swyx demonstration whilst many other stands were visibly quieter.
Iptelecoms work closely with their reseller channel to ensure they fully understand the feature rich products that they are taking to market.
Mark Russell, Technical Director at Iptelecoms who has over 6 years experience with Swyx SoftPBX told us "Watching the expressions on peoples face turn into a booming smile as they were shown the feature rich product was amazing. I've never experienced anything quite like it. Having been in the telecoms industry for over 20 years and worked with the data industry for over 8 years we are ideally placed to both help our voice resellers understand the issues associated with entering the world of converged networks and our data resellers how the product should be taken to market."

Elephantidae (the elephants) is a family of animals, the only family in the order Proboscidea which still exists today. Elephantidae has three living species: the Savannah Elephant and Forest Elephant (which were collectively known as the African Elephant) and the Asian Elephant (formerly known as the Indian Elephant). During the period of the ice age there were more species, which are now extinct.
Elephants are the largest living land mammals. At birth it is common for an elephant calf to weigh 100 kg (225 pounds). It takes 20 to 22 months for a baby elephant to mature to birth, the longest gestation period of any land animal. An elephant may live as long as 70 years. The largest elephant ever recorded was shot in Angola in 1974. It was male and weighed 12,000 kilograms or 26,400 pounds. The smallest elephants, about the size of a calf or a large pig, were a pre-historic variant that lived on the island of Crete until 5000 BC, possibly 3000 BC. Their scattered skulls, featuring a single large trunk-hole at the front, formed the basis of belief in existence of one-eyed giants, which are featured in Homer's Odyssey.
Prehistoric human beings have been known to eat elephants, as recent findings of animal remains in central China show. The elephant is now a protected animal, and consumption is prohibited around the world
